Dr. Charles Agwanda

Dr Agwanda is experienced in the identification of intervention priorities for value chain development, alignment of production and processing of agricultural commodities towards compliance, and in using value chain participatory approaches to identify and address constraints and opportunities to smallholder production systems.

He has previously worked at CABI Africa and the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa, (ASARECA) as a Programs Manager coordinating regional activities aimed at increasing productivity, value, and competitiveness of various value chains.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology, Diversity and Adaptation of cultivated plants from the University of Montpellier, France, a Master of Science in Plant Breeding, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, both from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has authored many peer-reviewed scientific papers in his professional area.

In addition to having performed key senior management roles in many organizations, he is also recognized for success in many significant projects in the Banking & Financial, Trading, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Agriculture, and Public sectors.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness Economics Food Industry Management.
